When you travel it makes a big difference on which Airlines you choose. For shorter flights you can do just about anything, but for longer flights, you definitely want to go with comfort. I have never flown Business Class or any of the more expensive classes on the airlines. I always fly economy and I am usually happy with that.
Sometimes the tickets are so much cheaper for a lower class airline that it makes sense just to purchase it. Below I will list the Airlines I have flown. I have them broken into categories based on experiences I have had. Many of the Airlines I have flown, I have flown at least two times. Remember this is from my point of view:
The Awesome-Why did I rank them up here? They may follow a few or all of these categories: Do not charge or easy on luggage. Free rinks on board. Friendly staff that always comes by. Comfortable seats on planes. Great meals and/or affordable good meals. Good in flight entertainment incl wifi. Speedy boarding, take off, and landing. Availability of chargers and/or USB on board.

Comfortable seats on planes. Great meals and/or affordable good meals. Good in flight entertainment incl wifi. Speedy boarding, take off, and landing. Availability of chargers and/or USB on board.

The OK-This is where it gets interesting. Most of these are budget carriers in countries of the world, which are very basic… however I have five of the top US Airlines ranked up here. If it was not for their Alliance Memberships, I would never get close to using them in the United States. The prices are outrageous and many of them nickel and dime you on everything. Interesting to see up and coming airlines giving the same sort of service as them. Would you ever see the day where you would see American Airlines having the same service as Jetstar Pacific?
In the rest of the world, competition keeps the airlines afloat. In the United States this is not the case….

The Really Ugly- Most of these are from developing countries and are hoppers to other destinations in the country and you cant expect much out of them as the prices are cheap. They will if you are lucky serve you something to eat and probably will not have alcohol. Most are small carriers except for Egypt Air which has some of the worst service I have ever seen in my life and some of the most unorganized workers. I have had some good experiences with some of these airlines, but for the most part, I will stay away if at all possible…
